El Método de Elementos Finitos en la Simulación de Problemas de Inestabilidad Capilar. Análisis Numérico para la Determinación de una Estrategia Computacional Eficiente

Abstract


In this work have been proven the performance and numeric efficiency of two techniques for determination of a free surface in the simulation of capillary instability problems: the spines method and the Height Flux Method or HFM. They were used with the Finite Elements Method in mixed and penalty formulations. The results allow to identify the most efficient _strategy and situations where an algorithm can be more
convenient that another.
