Análisis Termoelástico no Estacionario de una Esfera Compuesta

Carlos A. Rossit, Patricio A. A. Laura

Abstract

A solid composite sphere consisting of two layers is considered.
The whlole sphere is initially at a temperature To and for times t > 0, heat is dissipated by convection into a medium at T∞ temperature.
The solution for transient temperature distribution is developed and subsequently transient. thermo elastic stresses and strains are found.
Solutions are given in terms of non-harmonic Fourier expansions because, as it is known. The eigenfunctions of the problem are sinβr/r and cosβr/r.
Results are provided as dimensionless plots for a particular combination of thermal and mechanical parameters.
