Abstract


The objective of this work is the determination of the limit load of reversal shell structures in correspondence with its thickness and the material that will be used, at the beginning of the analysis. The limit load is determined by a computer
program for geometrically non linear analysis based on Finite Element Method.
This software uses quadratic elements of shells like Serendipity, Heterosis or Lagrangiam. Shell structures descritizated into finite elements with different thickness are presented to a computer program. The results of this program
analysis and the usage of the 1t-nurnbers described through the dimensional analysis allow the development of graphics that make it possible to determinate the limit load of similar shells. The graphics and the examples of its application are included in this work.
