Transporte de la Función Distribución de Tamaño de Burbujas en Conductos Verticales

Abstract


We present a numerical study of the equations describing the steady-state upward gas/liquid flow on a duct. The bubble number density and momentum equations for polydisperse flows are area-averaged to derive a one dimensional model. The system is discretized in mass using a multigroup approach to represent the different possible bubble sizes. The axial coordinate is discretized using control volumes. The model was successfully compared against experimental data.
