Estudio del Desplazamiento de una Interface Líquido-Gas Usando el Método de Elementos Finitos. Casos Planos y Axisimétrico
Abstract
In this work the finite element method combined with a suitable parametrization of the free surtlIce is employed in order to analyze the st.eady displacement of an inviscid bubble in the liquid that initially fills the space between two parallel plates or a straigth capillary tube.
Computed values of variables such as the thickness of the liquid film between the bubble and the tube wall are in very good agreement with experimental and theoretical results reported in the literature. The technique employed is able to obtain solutions for a wide range of the Capillary number.
