Abstract
An elasto-plastic formulation for the analysis of thin metallic sheet is presented. Yield surface is entirely defined in terms of stress resultants. Both isotropic and kinematic hardening are considered. In order to deal with large
strains, Kirchhoff stress and Almansi strain tensors are used. Some examples in two and three dimensions are presented to show the improvements of the formulation.
