Errores Numéricos en Mecánica Computacional
Abstract
Numerical Simulation is a necessary tool in Computational Mechanics, at present, all over the world. But Numerical Solutions (xN) are essentially approximate, so it is necessary to have, also, good Error Estimates: eN=(ΔN)/(1-rN).
The Computational Assessment object of this Research Exposition permits to obtain this Error Estimate (eN) But it does it by assessing first the Convergence Rate (rN) and, in his case, exuapolating the Numerical Solution indicated above: x~xN+eN.
This Genuine Procedure has been applied succesfully in the Universities & Research Institutes and is begining to difuse in Research & Development Industries. But it is also applicable to the Certification of Physical Systems products.
