Campo de Validez de Diferentes Teorías en el Análisis Dinámico de Vigas Incluyendo Grandes Desplazamientos

Abstract

The range of validity of infinitesimal displacement and cable theories are investigated with regard to the "exact" theory of geometric nonlinear analysis with large displacements but small strains.
The discussion is carried aout through the ratio central displacement-thickness vs ultimate load for a simple beam with static and suddenly applied dynamic loads. Practical results are obtained.
