Análise de Escoamentos em Dutos Utilizando o Método dos Elementos Finitos

Abstract

Solutions are shown for the laminar incompressible newtonian viscous fluid flow in straight ducts of arbitrary cross section using the finite element method. The mathematical model for this problem is ggiven by an elliptic second order partial differential equation. Triangular elements with three nodal points are utilized to perform the discretization. Velocity, average velocity, maximum velocity, pressure drop and hydrodynamic entry lenght are calculated
