Uma Formulação Unificada para a Modelagem Geometrica Uni, Bi e Tridimensional em CAD/CAM

Roberto P. Petry, Ademar G. Groehs

Abstract

This work proposes a formulation to model any uni, bi or tridimensional shapes in an integrated way, possissing certain important properties in computational geometry such as independency from the coordinates system, flexibility, efficiency and compacity. Shapes are mathematically fully described such as to obtain the coordinates of any point using local cordinates. It is also possible to control tangents to assure the continuity of lines, surfaces and volumes. The proposed formulation is implemented in microcomputer and constitutes an efficient geometric modeller able to generate finite element mshes or any other application wihich makes use of data from geometrich shapes.
