Redes Adaptadas a una Solución. Su Inclusión en Programas de Cálculo

Marcelo J. Vénere

Abstract

Two methods for self-adaptive refinement of finite element grids are presented. In the first one, the non-boundary nodes are displaced according to an error estimator, so that the regions with high error become more densified than those where the error is small. In the second one, new elements are inserted in the regions where densification is needed.
A discussion follows on practical implementation of both methods in finite element software. Numerical results are shown.
