Problemas del Tipo Constitutivo-Numérico en el Modelado del Flujo de Fluidos Viscoelásticos

Abstract


In this work, a brief discussion on the formulation of the mathematical model that describes the dynamics of viscoelastic fluids is presented. Three fundamental concepts are analyzed: Stability, Change of Type and Loss of Evolution. Conclusions are presented in relation to the generation of numerical algorithms and to some experimental results available in the literature, which are relevant to the subject. Although the general structure of the constitutive equation to generate stable numerical algorithms is now known, it is still unclear from the physical point of view the use of associated concepts like instantaneous elasticity and material retardation time.
