Formulación del Problema de Consolidación no Lineal por el Método de Elementos Finitos

Abstract

The settlement in foundations under primary consolidation is usually solved by mean of Terzaghi' s one dimensional flow theory.
The problem is transient and non-linear type which makes appropiate to use a finite element algorithm tosohie it. This work, based on Biot's theory presents a variational approach wich include the initial value problem in the associated functional considering non linear laws and the temporal dependent of the problem.
