Combinación De Planos Sismorresistentes Para Análisis Dinámico No Lineal De Estructuras Espaciales

Abstract

To predict the dynamic non-linear behavior of 3D structural systems, with a
suitable balance between precision and simplicity, it is proposed to discretized the system by
“elements” which are vertical resistant planes connected by rigid slabs located at each story
level, reducing greatly the number of degree of freedom.
Into the solution of the non-linear problem, in each equilibrium iteration of each time step, for
the calculation of the internal forces it is solved one plane non-linear problem for each
“element”, which is discretized by bar elements. The numerical examples of three and five
story structures show the precision and the power of the model, and the good rate of
convergence.
