15th U.S National Congress for Computational Mechanics

The US National Congress on Computational Mechanics (USNCCM) returns to the
great city of Austin, TX for the 15th biennial congress of the US
Association of Computational Mechanics (USACM). This congress will be held
at the new JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Austin from July 28 - August 1,
2019. We anticipate participation from computational engineers and
scientists worldwide from government, academia, and industry. The congress
will feature plenary and semi-plenary speakers, several honorary
mini-symposia, more than seventy-five  organized mini-symposia with keynote
lectures and contributed talks and exhibits from various sponsors.

Austin has experienced major population growth since USNCCM7 was held here
in 2005, spurred by the relocation and expansion of many technology
companies in the area along with the continued overall desirability of
Austin, the “Live Music Capital of the World”, as the political and
cultural capital of Texas. Every night in Austin more than 100 local
musicians of all genres take the stage, hence the city's moniker; many of
these locations are within walking distance of the congress venue.
Additionally, Austin has become a national culinary destination city with
hundreds of world-class restaurants within walking distance of JW Marriott.
Austin’s landscape has immense natural beauty, with popular hiking and
biking trails along nearby Lady Bird Lake.
