Subject: Invitation to Special Session at IASS05

Dear Colleague:

We would like to renew our invitation to present a paper at the special
session on

              High-Performance Computational Methods for
              Multidisciplinary Analyses of Shell Structures

at the 5th International Conference on COMPUTATION of SHELL & SPATIAL
STRUCTURES, which will be held in the lovely city of Salzburg, Austria,
June 1-4, 2005.

This special session will provide a forum for discussing state-of-the-art
computational methods for Multidisciplinary Analyses of Shell Structures.
Papers are welcome in the following areas:

o Shell structures undergoing fluid-structure interaction, including
       hydroelasticity and aeroelasticity
o Shell structures subject to electrostatic and electromagnetic
       pressure
o Coupled thermomechancical behavior of shells, including
       electro-thermo-mechanical coupling
o Parameter sensitivity analysis of shells undergoing multi-physics
       interaction
o Linear and nonlinear solution methods
o Partitioned and staggered analysis procedures
o Space-time methods and ALE schemes
o Mesh generation and mesh updating strategies
     o Multidisciplinary optimization
     o Application in biomechanics
     o Application to micro-systems
o Other academic and industrial applications

If you are interested in contributing to this special session, please,
submit a one page abstract to one of us on or before November 1, 2004.
Further information about the conference can be found at:
