Del 7 al 9 de Marzo de 2005 se realizará en Buenos Aires, Argentina, la 
International Conference on Approximation Methods for Design and Control. 
Los objetivos de la conferencia son: i) reunir un grupo diverso de 
investigadores en esas áreas para compartir y comparar diferentes métodos de 
aproximación para aplicar a problemas de diseño y control, ii) proveer una 
evaluación del estado del arte en técnicas de aproximación y iii) presentar 
aplicaciones específicas donde hay una necesidad de desarrollar nuevos 
métodos de aproximación para encarar importantes problemas de diseño y 
control.  El principal interés de la conferencia es establecer vínculos 
entre científicos que desarrollan trabajos de investigación ya sea en diseño 
y control, en teoría de aproximación o en métodos numéricos en temas de 
matemática aplicada. Además de la presentación formal, se dispondrá de 
tiempo para permitir el intercambio de ideas y evaluar posibles formas de 
colaboraciones futuras.
