EUROPEAN CONFERENCE ON MODELLING AND SIMULATION (ECMS 2006)
CALL FOR PAPERS - METH 2006
TRACK ON MODELLING AND SIMULATION METHODOLOGIES
Part of ECMS 2006
The 20th European CONFERENCE on Modelling and Simulation
Submission Deadline: January 30, 2006
Conference: May 28 - 31, 2006
Sankt Augustin, Bonn, Germany
INVITATION
You are kindly invited to submit a paper to ECMS 2006 and to METH 2006, the track on
Modelling and Simulation Methodologies of the Conference ECMS 2006.
METH 2006 will bring researchers and professionals together in order to
address and discuss recent developments on modelling and simulation
methodologies (M&S) and their applications.
M&S methodologies depend on the nature of the system under study, on the
level of abstraction convenient to represent the problem stated on it, on
the mathematical representations necessary to solve that problem, and on
the kind of computer facilities and tools available to perform the
simulation. Thus, the scope of this track covers theoretical and technical
topics of M&S methodologies, as well as their role in application fields.
Papers are welcome on the following:
TOPICS:
Continuous, Discrete, Switched and Hybrid Systems. Distributed Parameter
Systems. Large Scale Systems, Order Reduction and Model Simplification.
Numerical Methods, Formal Manipulation, Computer Algebra and Automatic
Differentiation.
Parallel & Distributed Simulation, Real-Time Simulation M&S Languages and
Standards, Software and Tools, User Interfaces. Education.
and APPLICATION FIELDS:
Biomechanics and Prosthetics, Biotechnologies Biomedical Engineering.
Agrotechnology and Food Industry, Chemical Engineering, Process Control,
Nuclear Engineering. Computational Hydrology and Hydraulics. Computer
Networks, Distributed Computer Control Systems,. Transportation Systems.
Electronics, Electrical and Power Systems. Car Industry, Mechanical
Systems, Robotics and Mechatronics. Meteorology and Weather Forecasting,
Environmental Sciences.

PAPER SUBMISSION
Original papers on your recent unpublished research, written in English,
are solicited for consideration on the basis of a full paper review.
Information on how to prepare a paper is available on the conference web
site at
http://www.scs-europe.net/conf/ecms2006/
or at
http://www2.inf.fh-brs.de/ESM2006/.
Please submit an electronic copy of your full manuscript in PDF to the
Track Chairs above, with "ECMS 2006, METH Track" as your email's subject.
Please clearly indicate the corresponding author.
Submitting a paper implies the willingness of at least one of the authors
to register and to present the paper, if it is accepted. Full manuscripts
will be reviewed by at least two IPC-members of the track. Accepted
contributions to the track will be included in the conference proceedings.
Moreover, the authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an
elaborated manuscript for possible inclusion in a special issue of an
international journal.
We look forward to receiving your paper(s) and to welcome you at the ECMS
2006.
