Following the success of COMPDYN 2007, which was held in Crete, on behalf of 
the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Advisory Board it is our pleasure 
to extend to you a cordial invitation to participate in COMPDYN 2009 
Conference on Computational Methods in Structural Dynamics and Earthquake 
Engineering, to be held on the Island of Rhodes, Greece, June 17-19, 2009

COMPDYN 2009 is one of the Thematic Conferences of the European Community on 
Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS).  The purpose of the 
Conference is to bring closer the scientific communities of Computational 
Mechanics, Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering in an effort to 
facilitate the exchange of ideas in topics of mutual interests and to serve 
as a platform for establishing links between research groups with 
complementary activities. 
 
The attendees of COMPDYN 2009  will be able to interact with the most 
outstanding experts worldwide and get acquainted with the latest developments 
in the field of computational methods in earthquake engineering and 
structural dynamics.  COMPDYN 2009 will be a forum of exchange of ideas 
between scientists and practitioners in an area of utmost scientific and 
socio-economic importance.
