Dear Alvaro

I would like to let you know about a special new award that may be of
interest to you or your colleagues:

The K.J. Bathe Award for the best paper published in Computers &
Structures by a young researcher in the field of Computational Engineering

"Computers & Structures is pleased to announce that the first K.J.
Bathe Award will be made during the World Congress of the
International Association for Computational Mechanics to be held in
Venice during July 2008. This award is given to mark the outstanding
contributions made by Professor K.J. Bathe over many years to the
field of Computational Engineering. The award will be given to an
author of the best paper published in Computers & Structures in the
years 2006 and 2007. The K.J. Bathe Award includes a certificate and
2,000 Euros donated by the publishers of Computers & Structures,
Elsevier Ltd. The author should be under the age of 40 on January 1,
2008. Sponsorship will also be available to the winner to enable him
to collect his/her award at the World Congress."

In future, the K.J. Bathe Award will be made every two years during
the World Congresses of the International Association for
Computational Mechanics. Applicants who wish to be considered for the
K.J. Bathe Award in 2010 should submit their paper to Computers &
Structures for publication in the years 2008 or 2009 and they must be
under the age of 40 on January 1, 2010."
