Hands-On Research in Complex Systems School

At UFABC (near Sao Paulo), Brazil, 26 July – 7 August 2009.

This school is designed to introduce graduate students and young faculty to 
table-top
scientific research on problems at the frontiers of science. Experiments on 
physical,
chemical, and biological systems will be conducted with modern yet inexpensive 
digital
instrumentation, and the laboratory work will be complemented by mathematical 
modeling
and data analysis using Matlab.
All applicants who are accepted as participants will be awarded full support
(registration, housing, meals) at the school and will receive travel support 
as need. Application deadline:  March 1, 2009.

Thus far we have received few applications from Argentina but many from other 
Latin
