Dear Colleagues,


We are inviting you to participate in one of the Mini-Symposia, 
Optimization in Oil and Gas Industries, that we are organizing within the
CILAMCE 2009, which will be held at Armacao de Buzios, Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil, from November 8 to 11, 2009.


The main goal of this symposium is to provide a forum of discussions
related to the applications of optimization algorithms for design problems
in oil and gas industries: pipelines and risers; reservoir engineering and
surface facilities.



This year event will be hosted by the Brazilian Association for
Computational  Methods in Engineering, ABMEC, the Graduate
Center for Engineering of  the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro,
COPPE/UFRJ, and the National  Laboratory for Scientific Computation,
LNCC.

Call for Papers

One page abstracts are
invited by July 31, 2009.
