The HKIE Outstanding Paper Award for Young Engineers/Researchers 2010

The Publications Committee of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers
would like to enlist support from you by encouraging your academic
staff and students to submit papers for the captioned Award. This is
the fifth consecutive year the Institution has organised the Award. It
is our ultimate goal to provide a platform for local and overseas
young engineers and researchers to share and exhibit their
accomplishments in various engineering fields.

The Award welcomes papers from local and overseas authors, who are
either the sole author or the first author of a co-authored paper and
who are at the age of 35 or below on the closing date of submission.
Deadline for submission is Friday, 9 April 2010. Up to three Awards
will be given and presented at the HKIE Presidential Dinner in
September 2010 in Hong Kong. In addition, a Technical Seminar will be
organised for all awardees to present their award-winning papers in
Hong Kong. The HKIE Transactions will publish the winning and
shortlisted papers in its special issue in December 2010.

Panel of Judges of the Award reserves the right not to make any Award.
The Panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered
into. Awardees outside Hong Kong will be reimbursed for the cost of an
economy airfare to attend the Prize Presentation Ceremony and the
Technical Seminar in Hong Kong. Subject to its approval, the
Institution will also arrange suitable accommodation for the awardees
in Hong Kong.
