The HPC Day within the 41st Argentine Conference of Informatics aims to bring 
together researchers, developers, and users of HPC to discuss the ideas and 
experiences of scientist and practitioners of High Performance Computing in 
Argentina and Latin America. The HPC Day will feature invited talks from 
academy and industry, presenting both mature work and new ideas about the 
application of high performance computing in research and industrial 
applications, and round-table meetings for the exchange and dissemination of 
new ideas, techniques, and research in HPC. The event will also present the 
activities held in the V Latin American Symposium on High Performance 
Computing (HPCLatAm2012) and the High Performance Computing School (ECAR 
2012), both sponsored by SADIO.

This event is co-organized with RISC project "A network for supporting the 
coordination of Supercomputing Research between Europe and Latin America". The 
RISC Project is funded from the European Community's Seventh Framework 
Programme [FP7/2007-2013] under grant agreement 288777.
