Dear colleagues,

An academic position of Maitre de Conferences (Assistant Professor) in  
Solid Mechanics, and more specifically in active materials and  
structures, is open at the Ecole Centrale Marseille in France.  The  
position is associated with a CNRS Chair for 5 years, which means that  
the position is oriented towards research with only 1/3 of the usual  
teaching load and comes with a better salary and some funding for  
research.

The research will be carried out at the Mechanics and Acoustics  
Laboratory, Marseilles (http://www.lma.cnrs-mrs.fr/).

The focus is primarily on smart materials  and smart structures, but  
other subjects are also welcome. Potential candidates should contact
