IACM SPECIAL INTERESTING CONFERENCES - ANNOUNCEMENTS
 

 
8th International Conference on Computational Mechanics for Spatial Structures
 
Date & Location:
Harbin, China, 18 – 20 May 2015
 
To address a broad interpretation of “Shell and Spatial Structures” the 8th Conference will include presentations regarding computation for any longspan, lightweight, fabric, or thin-walled structures: 
 
·         at a variety of spans,
·         in a diversity of application fields, and
·         in both technology and nature.
 
In addition, the themes of the conference sessions will include most of those addressed at the 7th Conference but with new emphasis on the related areas of analysis, design, testing of spatial structures, blast and impact loadings, earthquake simulations, CFD in structural analysis,computational morphogenesis and industrial applications/constructions.

Call for minisymposia: The call for submission of proposals for minisyposia is open now. Similar to previous years, the conference program will cover the following four general themes, as well as any topic related to porous media: (1) Fundamentals of porous media; (2) Computational challenges in porous media simulation; (3) Experimental achievements; (4) Environmental, technical and biomedical applications involving porous media; (5) Other
 
The prepared template for the mini-symposium proposal is available here. The proposal should be prepared according to the template and sent to symposia2015 en interpore.org, indicating one of the above themes.
 
Accepted minisymposia will be announced by 17 November 2014.
