The Tenth International Conference on Engineering Computational Technology (ECT2018)will take place in Sitges, Barcelona, Spain, from 4 to 6 September 2018.

Conference web page: http://www.civil-comp.com/conf/2018/ect/ect2018.htm
IntroductionThis is the Tenth Conference in the Engineering Computational Technology series that commenced in 1998. Previous venues for the conference have included: Edinburgh, Prague, Leuven, Lisbon, Gran Canaria, Athens, Valencia, Dubrovnik and Naples. The conference is concerned with the application of the latest computational technology to all aspects of engineering. Computational Technology encompasses both the latest hardware and software developments as well as algorithmic and theoretical developments. Contributors to this conference series have included engineers, mathematicians and scientists. The conference is concerned with both theoretical, mathematical and scientific developments as well as applications of established technology to new domains. The conference runs concurrently with the Thirteenth International Conference on Computational Structures Technology. Participants may attend sessions from either CST2018 or ECT2018 conference.ThemesThe themes for this conference will include (but are not limited to):Computational Methods for:Computational Fluid DynamicsComputational GeomechanicsComputational Geo-Environmental MechanicsComputational BiomechanicsComputer Modelling and SimulationRock MechanicsMulti-Phase ProblemsMulti-Physics ProblemsSoil-Structure InteractionFluid-Structure InteractionBiomechanical EngineeringMicro-Electro-Mechanical SystemsStochastic MechanicsFluid Transport Simulation and ModellingFlow Simulation and ModellingTelematics, Tele-maintenance, Tele-diagnosisInverse ProblemsThermal ProblemsAutomotive ApplicationsCrash, Impact and Contact: Analysis and SimulationGeotechnical ProblemsMulti-Scale ProblemsNanomechanicsMicromechanicsMechanics of Granular MaterialsProcess SimulationWave PropagationEnvironmental EngineeringDesign and ManufactureMaterials ProcessingMicro- and Nano- Scale ProblemsMultibody DynamicsGeophysicsAccousticsEnergy SystemsActive and Passive ControlHeat Transfer ProblemsComputational Techniques including:Data MiningEvolutionary AlgorithmsEvolutionary ProcessesComputational Methods deriving their inspiration from NatureSoft Computing MethodsParticle MethodsMeshless MethodsGenetic Algorithms and Neural NetworksNumerical and Computational Linear AlgebraMathematical ModellingMulti-Scale ModellingFinite and Boundary Element MethodAdaptive ProceduresProbabilistic MethodsMultiscale modelling Engineering Modelling, Simulation including Pre- and Post- Processing:Domain Decomposition and PartitioningGeometric ModellingMesh and Grid GenerationModel VerificationPre- and Post- ProcessingQuantification of Uncertainty in Simulations Engineering Design, Optimization and Manufacture:Computer Aided Design & Computer Aided EngineeringComputer Aided ManufactureCAD/CAM Rapid PrototypingOptimal DesignOptimization and Sensitivity AnalysisEngineering Modelling, Information Systems, Management and Decision Making including:Decision Making in Engineering ManagementConstruction Management and ControlInformation SystemsCommunicationsProject ManagementEngineering Applications of Computational Technology including:Computational IntelligenceEmbedded High Performance ComputingHardware and Software Developments for HPCVirtual Reality and Virtual EnvironmentsVirtual PrototypingVisualisation and GraphicsComputational SteeringParallel, Distributed and Cloud ProcessingUse of High Performance Computer ArchitecturesSupercomputingDistributed Computing and NetworkingArtificial Intelligence and Knowledge-Based SystemsVirtual EnvironmentsVirtual HumansData MiningSoftware Development and Maintenance for Engineering Applications including:Software Standards and Quality ControlVerification and ValidationGrid ComputingObject Oriented MethodsSolution Procedures for Large Scale ProblemsNovel Software Tools and Development EnvironmentsAlgorithms for Vectorization and ParallelisationSoftware ReliabilityComputational Engineering: Education and TrainingCourse DevelopmentOn-line Training Systems
