Objectives

The objectives of the Argentine Association for Computational Mechanics (AMCA) are:

  • To promote the diffusion of scientific and technological information related to computational mechanics and applied numerical methods.

  • To promote the scientific and professional interchange in the use of numerical methods and computer techniques both in research and industrial applications.

  • To stimulate research and learning of basic theory of computational mechanics in undergraduate and postgraduate university programs.

  • To foster academic, industrial and governmental institutions interested in research and technological innovations in this area, setting up a forum for discussion of problems involving basic sciences, technological sciences and industry.

For this the Association performs:

  • Coordination of scientific meetings, conferences and congress.
  • Interchange of scientific information among their members.
  • Organization of a regular congress of AMCA.
  • Edition of a bulletin, as well as books and other publications.

AMCA is a national affiliated organization of International Association for Computational Mechanics.
