Empleo de Modelos Reducidos y Procedimiento Distribuido en Optimización Dinámica

The scope of both the sequential and simultaneous approaches to solve dynamic optimization problems is discussed in this paper. Two strategies to diminish the
computational effort involved in these calculations are proposed and analyzed.
The run-time decrease would allow the efficient application of these techniques to solve problems of huge size. The proposal consists in using a reduced dynamic model to represent the process under consideration, together with the
parallelization of the optimization algorithms by means of a multi splitting approach.
