Gustavo C. BuscagliaAbstract
In 1998, I began my doctoral thesis under the supervision of Gustavo C. Buscaglia at the Computational Mechanics Department of CNEA (MECOM). I always benefited from his constant guidance and advice. In 2007, he moved to the University of São Paulo, where he continued his valuable contribution to scientific research. A brief summary of his career highlights that he was a researcher at MECOM in the Bariloche Atomic Center and professor at the Balseiro Institute, later becoming a researcher and professor at the University of São Paulo. He made more than forty contributions to ENIEF/MECOM conferences of AMCA, published over 100 papers in international journals, and supervised 12 master’s theses and 10 doctoral theses. His recent and untimely passing deeply moved us. His contribution to scientific research will always remain and will be recognized by those who today follow in his footsteps and carry on his legacy. During my presentation, I will share experiences of daily life in the MECOM group in Bariloche, under Gustavo’s guidance.
