Resumo

Engineering has evolved, its participation in the sciences that affect people’s lives has generated relatively new disciplines. Rehabilitation is the biomedical area that produces most impact. Assistive devices and technologies such as wheelchair, prosthesis, mobility aids and the communication ability, are the most used. Technological developments help people with some functional losses and encourage them to participate in their society. This work seeks to find out the use of state transition applied to servo systems of upper limb prostheses. Systems modeling and programming are necessary before their structural and functional design. Modern Control Theory allows to work in state-space where it´s possible to find new information to enrich research conclusions. Work points in the complex plane, relevant gains, so also space-state graphics, will be new parametric indicators. Obtained results show the state-transition matrix importance, used as a control tool to prosthesis drive system for functional analysis.
