Modeling of Interaction of Turbulent Flow with Sandy Surface and Dune Motion

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi
Arabia and Oxford University, UK invite applications for a
postdoctoral position in modeling of interaction of atmospheric flow
with desert topography.  The primary goal of the research is to
develop a coupled fine scale multi-component sandy-surface/atmosphere
models and use them to study dust mobilization and generation for
climate applications and dune motion.

The position will be filled as a KAUST employee (Division of Physical
Sciences and Engineering) but three months will be located at Oxford
University (Oxford Center for Collaborative Applied mathematics).  The
initial appointment will be for one year with renewal possible for up
to three years. Scientists with background in computational fluid
dynamics, applied mathematics, and experience of large-scale parallel
calculations are especially encouraged to apply.
