Peer Review Process

Editorial process

1. Abstracts evaluation

The organizers of each session proposed to the Congress evaluate the relevance, quality, and originality of the abstracts presented by the authors to the session of their choice. The correspondence between title, keywords, wording, and content of the abstract is analyzed. Abstracts may be accepted, accepted with corrections, rejected, or transferred to another section that is considered more appropriate, with the agreement of the authors and the organizers of the target section.

2. Evaluation of full articles

The organizers of each session submit each paper for peer review. The reviewers carry out a technical-scientific evaluation of the work, as well as the structure of the presentation and its format. Possible alternatives are acceptance of the article, acceptance subject to revision (major or minor revisions), or rejection of the article. This result is communicated to the authors; If revisions are requested, the deadline within which they must be resubmitted is specified, through the management system.

3. Evaluation of corrected complete articles

Submissions with minor revision requirements are targeted by session organizers. Submissions with higher review requirements are forwarded again to the reviewers consulted in the previous stage for the second round of evaluation. Once the review of corrected articles has been completed, the acceptance of the articles or their final rejection is defined.

4. Production and publication

The final selection of full articles is compiled by the editorial team regarding metadata, format, and indexing. Only articles presented at the Congress are accepted for publication.
