Empleo de Herramientas CFD para el Modelado de Reactores Reales Escala Planta Piloto Aplicados a la Degradación Foto-Fenton del Fármaco Paracetamol

Resumo

En el presente trabajo, se presenta un estudio detallado asociado a la degradación foto- Fenton del fármaco Paracetamol (PCT) en un reactor planta piloto, empleando el modelado a través de Dinámica de Fluidos Computacional (CFD). Específicamente, se desarrolló e implementó un modelo de emisión para una lámpara cilíndrica en la plataforma OpenFOAM(R), acoplado a un modelo de mezcla de reacción multicomponente para simular la evolución de las distintas especies reactivas en el reactor. Tras validar experimentalmente el modelo, se investigó la influencia de principales condiciones operativas, tales como estrategias de dosificación de agente oxidante (HP), el caudal de recirculación (Qr) y la configuración de la lámpara empleada sobre la efectividad del sistema. Se demostró que el empleo de estrategias de dosificación del HP reduce significativamente los tiempos de reacción. Se observó que la tasa de degradación del PCT permanece invariable al incrementar Qr, lo que permite operar el sistema con un caudal de recirculación inferior al utilizado en los experimentos. El modelo desarrollado facilita la identificación de las condiciones de reacción que maximizan la conversión de PCT, optimizando el uso de HP y disminuyendo el consumo de energía.
