The objective of this work is to reflect on the teaching of the Numerical Linear Algebra course developed for the Doctorate in Engineering at the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Engineering, and Surveying at the National University of Rosario. Based on our teaching experience, we have found that the course, intended for graduates of various engineering programs, invites students not only to approach the subject from its application, but also to teach it from an interdisciplinary perspective. The topics, which are not usually covered in undergraduate programs, allow students to connect with profound problems in the discipline from a theoretical and practical perspective, with an emphasis on algorithmic implementations. Interest in this area has intensified with new applications (data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning), impacting on central aspects of Linear Algebra, and on the application of teaching strategies in the early stages of education. Thus, based on experience, this work aims to reflect on possible applications and the need to review approaches.
