This study presents the estimation of a stage-discharge curve for a section of the San Antonio River, located in the city of Carlos Paz, province of Córdoba. For this purpose, a numerical model based on a simplified version of the time-averaged Navier-Stokes equations was used. This model is applied to a channel section with steady and uniform flow, allowing for the determination of the distribution of the longitudinal velocity component in the section. The numerical solution scheme of the model was implemented using a program written in Python. Bathymetry and bed slope data of the channel, obtained with GPS, as well as surface velocity data measured by Large Scale Particle Image Velocimetry (LSPIV) at a fixed station for a wide range of discharges, were available for the studied section. From this information, combined with field knowledge of the section, the necessary data was extracted to calibrate the model parameters and obtain the corresponding velocity distributions. The modeled curve shows a good fit with the gauged values in the study section.
